Cortez Turbo & CVT CT: Different Sensations of Driving an MPV Car

A few months ago, Wuling Motors launched the latest variant of Cortez, namely Cortez CT, at the 2019 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive event. In some parts such as the exterior, Cortez CT comes with a slightly different look through a new grille design that is made separate between the top and bottom. Meanwhile, the design of the headlights uses an LED that lights up bright white and presents a dashing impression.

The special thing that makes Cortez CT different from its previous variants is the turbo engine and the choice of CVT transmission that makes it different from other MPV cars and ready to make you feel a different driving sensation. Cortez CT comes with a tagline ‘The New Advanced MPV 'equipped with a 1,500cc 4 cylinder engine with Turbocharger output by Honeywell. Competence produces a maximum power of 140 HP and 250 Nm of torque.

In addition to turbo technology, The New Advanced MPV is marketed in two transmission options, namely the 6-speed manual on type C or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for types C and L. CVT is an automatic transmission that is able to change the ratio continuously throughout the range of ratios. A CVT has an unlimited ratio. CVT technology on the car makes every move feel smoother, so driving comfort will be more pronounced.
