Exposing More About Internet of Vehicle and ADAS facilities with Media Colleagues.
Jakarta, 21 April 2021 – In a series of IIMS Hybrid 2021 activities, Wuling Motors (Wuling) today held an online Media Briefing to provide a deeper introduction to Wuling Interconnected Smart Ecosystem (WISE) innovations. Still in the launching period of Almaz RS in Indonesia, Wuling presented more complete information about its latest innovations consisting of the Internet of Vehicle (IoV) and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to media colleagues at the event.
“In presenting WISE, we allow users to explore more deeply and make personalization. Regarding the features that includes in the Internet of Vehicle, consumers must know all the functions in order to be able to use the various features that they have optimally,” said Dimas Agus as App Operation Wuling Motors.
Regarding the Internet of Vehicle, this feature provides various controls in the user’s hand with the connection between the smartphone and their Almaz RS. Users are required to register an account, bind the vehicle, and register a Bluetooth key via My Wuling+. If you want to lend the vehicle to someone else, the user can set it on ‘Key Authorization Management’ option. Make sure the other person who is given key access authorization has an activated My Wuling+ account email.
Users can also do preset navigation to be able to determine the navigation destination in advance even before entering the vehicle. Navigation will be active automatically according to the destination that has been set previously when the cellphone is interconnected by screen cast with the head unit. Another interesting feature is the cellphone interconnection which allows users to project applications on the smartphone to the head unit’s screen which can be done through wireless and wired.
About the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), this system contains various features that help to ease the driver thereby increasing safety and comfort aspects. Sensors in the form of radar and high-resolution cameras act as additional senses to read traffic conditions and environmental situations which will be processed by the system so that the vehicle responds accordingly.
ADAS features have several conditions and limitations in order to be active. Therefore, Almaz RS users really need to study and understand the vehicle manual book before driving. For example, to activate the adaptive cruise feature, all doors must be tightly closed, the driver must use seat belt, the transmission is in D position, the ESC system is active, and the parking brake is off.
“ADAS is an assitance and does not replace the main role of the driver. Every driver must always be alert and responsible for traffic conditions and remain active in responding to the surrounding conditions,” explained Danang Wiratmoko, Product Planning Wuling Motors.
To feel the sensation of driving with WISE innovation, Wuling provides test drive unit for Almaz RS which is available in the Smart Driving Car Area near Pasar Gambir, JIEXPO Kemayoran during IIMS Hybrid 2021.
