Wuling's iconic EV hatchback achieves its very first appreciation from Tabloid Otomotif
Jakarta, May 21, 2024 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) received another positive appreciation for its electric vehicle innovation from one of the leading automotive media in the country. Wuling's second EV product, BinguoEV, which was launched at the end of 2023, won the best predicate in City Car EV category in the Otomotif Award 2024 held at Gold Dragon Senayan Park, Jakarta, today. This eco-friendly car has become the favorite of Indonesian consumers through its iconic appearance, spacious cabin, and complete features to support the daily driving experience.

The Otomotif Award 2024 is the 17th event of the annual award organized by the leading automotive media in Indonesia, Tabloid Otomotif. This annual award event this time carries the theme Innovation in Motion which appreciates the steps of automotive brands in innovating to present the best vehicle products for the people of Indonesia. The Otomotif Award 2024 judging was carried out by competent and independent Tabloid Otomotif test drivers and test riders. This year, as many as 87 cars and 95 motorbikes were nominated which have been tested and judged over a one-year period, from April 2023 to April 2024.
BinguoEV is Wuling's second electric vehicle product for the Indonesian automotive market. This hatchback-sized vehicle comes with a timeless design on the exterior. The fascia of this electric car is decorated with X-Shaped LED Headlamp and Diamond Shaped Grille. The Impressive Two-Tone Body Color creates an elegant and unique look. At the rear part, the X-Shaped LED Tail Lights and Streamline Ducktail give the car a modern and futuristic touch.

The classy and comfortable interior design of the BinguoEV emphasizes the iconic elements inside the cabin. The extensive space and generous numbers of compartments also make storing luggage easier, making it more accommodating to meet daily mobility needs. BinguoEV also features easily accessible storage spaces. Drivers and passengers can organize luggage in the 15 compartments available. Furthermore, the Deep Sunk Style Trunk Space allows users to store more items in the trunk. The overall trunk space of the BinguoEV with the second row bench folded reaches 790 liters.
Wuling's second electric car carries a premium driving experience with the support of various modern features to maximize the journey. Various functional features are also embedded such as Smart Entry & Smart Start, Multifunction Steering Wheel, 10.25-inch TFT Dual Screen, 6-way Electric Adjustable Driver Seat, Cruise Control, Rear Parking Sensor and Camera, Electric Parking Brake, 4 Speakers, to Distinctive Rotary Gear Selector. There are also four driving modes that make driving more comfortable, ranging from ECO, ECO+, Sport, and Normal.
To give drivers and passengers peace of mind while driving, BinguoEV is equipped with a full range of safety features. The BinguoEV is equipped with an IP67 standard battery and a frame structure made of High Strength Steel. Moreover, a series of complete safety features such as Auto Vehicle Holding, Electronic Stability Control, ABS & EBD, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX, and 2 SRS Airbags are ready to help consumers travel safely and comfortably. Several safety features are also present to help prevent unwanted incidents.
The BinguoEV is available in three variants for the Indonesian market, consisting of the Long Range AC and Long Range AC/DC types that have a range of up to 333 km, as well as the Premium Range AC/DC with a range of up to 410 km. There are three color options offered for the BinguoEV, ranging from Milk Tea and Mousse Green which are combined with brown and white interiors, and Galaxy Blue which has a black and white interior.
