23 Automotive Media Successfully Drove 303,2 KM With Wuling Cortez
New Driving Sensation from The New Choice of MPV Wuling Motors
Surabaya, 9 March 2018 – Completing the series event of ‘Discover The New Choice Sensation’ phase 2, Wuling Cortez has successfully traveled a distance of 303,2 km. The event was started from 7th March until 9th March in East Java was held to answer the curiosity of the automotive media that been wanting to experience a long-distance driving with The New Choice of MPV.
The second phase of the event explored the Malang – Bromo – Surabaya routes was started off with a visit to Wuling Perdana Malang dealership. Afterwards, the media continue the journey to Padang Pasir Bromo through rural roads with panoramic view of Bromo mountain and the desert trail in Bromo Mountain area. Closing the day 1, the participants were challenged to pass uphill and downhill road at evening.

On the next day, aside from enjoying the driving sensation with Cortez, the journalist team got the chance to experience exciting activity at Kaliandra and Taman Dayu Golf Club in Pasuruan. The trip then continued through inner-city highways. The second day was closed down with the arrival of the groups at Surabaya.

On the third day, the series of event was closed down with a visit to Wuling HR Muhanmmad Surabaya dealership. The route passed was also dominated by city roads. The recorded mileage during this activity is 303,2 kilometers.
“The event series of ‘Discover The New Choice Sensation’ was an effort to answer the curiosity of driving sensation from the medium MPV of Wuling Motors. Through the two phases of event, it has been proven that the Wuling Cortez has successfully passed the second routes with various road conditions. Therefore, customers do not need to worry to choose The New Choice of MPV,” said Dian Asmahani, Brand Manager Wuling Motors.
6 units of the highest variant of Cortez, L Lux+ and 1 unit of Wuling Mobile Service were utilized for this event. The car is equipped with 1,800 cc engine capacity capable of producing power of 129 hp at 5,600 rpm as well as 174 Nm of torque in the range of 3,600 rpm to 4,600 rpm that is supported with intelligent Automated Mechanical Transmission (i-AMT).

Meanwhile, to support the convenience of the car, Cortez is also equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Automatic Vehicle Holding (AVH), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Electric Parking Brake (EPB), hingga Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Selain itu, dilengkapi pula dengan Advanced 8” Entertainment System, Convenient Electric Front Seat Adjuster dan Classy Electric Sunroof.
