"Wuling's innovation commitment is now entering a new stage through its first hybrid vehicle in Indonesia. The combination of a gasoline engine with an electric motor through a hybrid system in this SUV presents Exciting Performance. Complete innovations to support driving comfort while providing peace and protection actively are present in this Almaz Hybrid," explained Danang Wiratmoko as Product Planning Wuling Motors.
The performance sector of Wuling's latest SUV consists of a gasoline engine with an Atkinson cycle configured with 2.0L which provides 123 hp and 168 Nm of torque combined with an electric motor that produces 174 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Both operate via Dedicated Hybrid Transmission with a Multi-mode Hybrid Performance system which is divided into EV Mode, Series Hybrid, and Hybrid Parallel. The three modes are determined automatically by the system on the Almaz Hybrid with several factors such as battery condition, driving speed, and power requirements via the gas pedal.
The driving mode on the Almaz Hybrid provides an exciting and certainly efficient experience by adjusting the user's needs in terms of power. In EV Mode, the electric motor drives the wheels by supplying electrical energy from a Ternary Lithium battery. On the other hand, the Series Hybrid mode allows the wheels to be driven by an electric motor efficiently with the gasoline engine charging the battery via a generator. In Parallel Hybrid mode, the petrol engine and electric motor together distribute the power of the wheels efficiently but deliver impressive performance. Each active driving mode can be monitored through the New Digital TFT Meter Cluster.
Besides impressive performance, Almaz Hybrid is also supported by leading innovations from Wuling. This SUV is the second product line with the ADAS feature. This innovation is divided into 4 categories with a total of 12 features. The first category is Adaptive Cruise which allows the driver to adjust the cruising speed and adjust the safe distance with the vehicle in front automatically. Then, Lane Recognition keeps the vehicle from getting out of the lane. Then, Safe Distance & Braking Assistance is on standby to provide warnings to active mitigation when the vehicle faces a potentially dangerous situation. Finally, the Automatic Lamp which helps drivers drive at night by adjusting the height of the headlights that adjusts the ambient lighting.
