Darion Becomes Wuling’s First Product Line in Indonesia to Use a New Platform

Tangerang Regency, November 5, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) introduced a series of groundbreaking innovations implemented in the Wuling Darion “Evolving Family Moments,” marking a new chapter in Wuling’s technological advancement. The innovations applied to Darion represent Wuling’s latest global developments, covering the vehicle’s platform, power system, battery, connectivity, and advanced safety features. The new platform provides greater efficiency, enhanced comfort, and a safe, modern driving experience for consumers.

WFMS, or Wonder Flexible Modular System, is Wuling’s latest platform developed globally by automotive experts. The system is engineered with high flexibility to accommodate various powertrains, including Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV). WFMS focuses on improving driving range, user experience, fast-charging capability, high safety standards, and long-term reliability.
As part of Wuling’s electrification innovation, the Darion PHEV is powered by the advanced LING Power hybrid system. This technology combines several key components with cutting-edge features, including a dedicated hybrid engine with efficiency up to 43.2 percent, an electric motor adapted from high-speed train technology with 96.8 percent efficiency, a responsive Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) tested over one million cycles, and a high-safety battery proven to perform under various conditions. Together, these deliver a smooth, powerful, and highly efficient driving experience in the Darion PHEV.

Supporting electrified performance, all Darion EV and PHEV variants come equipped with the MAGIC Battery Pro, the latest evolution of Wuling’s proven battery technology that has been widely used in Indonesia since 2024. This new generation is designed with improved safety, durability, and advanced structural, cell, and battery management system innovations, achieving safety performance that exceeds industry standards. Based on the Five Zero Safety concept, MAGIC Battery Pro ensures superior protection against fire, water, impact, thermal spread, and leakage.
Wuling also enhances the connectivity experience with the LING OS ecosystem, developed to meet modern customer needs. This system integrates WIND (Wuling Indonesian Command), the first Indonesian-language voice command system, and the MyWuling+ app, which allows users to monitor and control vehicle functions in real time. LING OS will continue to evolve in line with the growing demands of the Indonesian market.
To ensure a safer and more confident driving experience, Darion is also equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This technology detects, warns, and automatically responds to potential road hazards, offering active driving support. The system includes a wide range of features such as Intelligent Driving Assist (IDA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Door Opening Warning (DOW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Intelligent High Beam Assist (IHMA).
