Getting to Know Wuling New Cortez ‘Innovating Comfort Zone’

Jakarta, 25 March 2022 – After its launch, Wuling Motors invited media to get to know New Cortez in detail through a virtual media briefing with Danang Wiratmoko and Handi Ahmad as Product Planning Wuling Motors. This MPV, which carries the tagline 'Innovating Comfort Zone', is equipped with various features to meet the mobility needs of the community, including the Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND) and Internet of Vehicle (IoV). In addition, there are also upgrades in several aspects, with various safety and comfort features.
“WIND and IoV, two innovations that are implanted in New Cortez, which makes this MPV embedded the Wuling Silver Logo. In addition, New Cortez also gets a fresh upgrade in several areas. Like the interior which now emphasizes an elegant feel, with the sophisticated head unit 10.25" display. In the performance sector and driving features, we still rely on the 1.5L turbo engine and CVT plus various modern safety features," explained Danang Wiratmoko, Product Planning Wuling Motors.

Comfort remains a reliable aspect in the New Cortez. In terms of interior, this Wuling MPV has improved ergonomic seat, a multi-purpose seat tray specially designed to support all family productivity and business needs. In addition, refreshments were also carried out on the elegant interior color panels with black marble texture and premium black semi-leather seats to create an elegant feel in the cabin. Still in order to support the driving comfort, the latest Wuling Cortez is still equipped with comfortable tilt steering, exquisite atmosphere lamp, digital AC control, one push button, convenient electric front seat adjuster, auto up/down windows with anti-pinch on all sides, auto doorlock by speed, audio & Bluetooth steering switch.
As for the head unit, Wuling New Cortez applied a Sophisticated 10.25” Display which makes it easy to access various features. Starting from Wireless Mirrolink to create connections from smartphones to head units without cables, USB Fast Charging to charge devices quickly, Internet Connectivity and built-in apps, Bluetooth, Navigation to Vehicle settings to manage vehicle functions.

"The vehicle setting on the New Cortez head unit can be set to 5 functions. It consists of window settings, vehicle light settings such as follow me home to indoor light delay time, then door lock, and wiper function to rearview mirror folding," added Handi Ahmad, Product Planning Wuling Motors.
The safety aspects also an important aspect for the New Cortez, so this Wuling MPV is supported by reliable safety features. Starting from the parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, Auto Vehicle Holding, Electric Parking Brake, Electric Stability Control, front and rear disc brakes, Hill Hold Control, 4 front and side airbags, fatigue driving warning, ABS, EBD, BA, Emergency Stop Signal, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and many more.
Next, the exterior of the New Cortez which carries a different concept. The difference can be seen in the Wuling silver logo on the front and back. In addition, the new wheel design with two-tone color makes it look bolder. Furthermore, a classy electric sunroof, stylish led headlamps, led rear lamps and roof rails, are still present in the New Cortez.
The outstanding performance of the New Cortez comes from a powerful 1.5 liter turbocharged engine that is competent to produce up to 140 HP with 250 Newton meters of torque and is delivered by a smooth and responsive CVT with 4 driving modes, namely normal, eco, sport and 8-speed manual simulation.
