The Electric Vehicle, Wuling Air ev, Wins Katadata Green Initiative Awards
This EV received appreciation for its initiative step in creating environmentally friendly mobility
Jakarta, 2 December 2022 – Wuling Motors (Wuling)'s first electric car in Indonesia, Air ev, has made another achievement in the Indonesian automotive industry. On Thursday (1/12), Air ev was awarded the Katadata Green Initiative Awards in the technology and transportation category. The award was given in the Katadata Regional Summit 2022 event and handed by the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) to Wuling for its initiative in marketing electric cars that are affordable and contribute to preserving the environment.

There are several metrics that KIC considers in this awarding event, including the company's commitment and innovation in green actions such as the transition to clean energy, corporate actions in implementing low-emission production, environmentally friendly technologies, and carbon offsetting programs as a measure to reduce carbon emissions.

This vehicle, which has a future-tech exterior design, combines a touch of futuristic technology with a variety of innovative modern features, such as the Intelligent Tech-Dashboard, Multifunction Steering Wheel, Integrated Floating Widescreen, and Futuristic Center Console. Comfort is also the main attraction of the roomy Wuling Air ev cabin featuring a 4-seater configuration with a 50:50 setting on the second row of seats to provide more access.
Wuling's first electric vehicle in Indonesia, Air ev, offers a variety of advantages, starting from the convenience of charging everywhere including at home, guaranteed battery safety as well as sturdy frame and airbags that make consumers feel calm and safe when using it. Wuling also embeds smart features, such as the Wuling Remote Control App via the Internet of Vehicles and the only Indonesian voice command.
As additional information, previously Wuling Air ev has won the Best Innovation title at the Carvaganza Editor's Choice Award 2022 and the best Total Cost of Ownership in the Battery Electric Vehicle category from the GridOto Award 2022.
