Wuling #ABCDrive Experience Regional Media Becomes a Comprehensive Test Drive Event for Wuling EV

A special opportunity for regional media representatives to experience Wuling EV ABC Stories firsthand

Bogor Regency, October 29, 2024 – Today, Wuling is hosting the #ABCDrive Experience Regional Media event, with participation from 48 media representatives across 8 cities in Indonesia, including Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Makassar, Samarinda, Medan, Palembang, and Manado. The event, held at the Sentul International Circuit in Bogor, West Java, provides the media with the chance to test Wuling’s complete ABC Stories EV lineup—Air ev, BinguoEV, and Cloud EV. For this event, Wuling has prepared two units each of Air ev, BinguoEV, and Cloud EV, allowing regional media representatives to experience the excitement of driving Wuling’s electric vehicles (EVs) firsthand.

The event began with an informative presentation about the ABC Stories lineup, delivered by Wuling’s product planning team. This was followed by a safety briefing to ensure participants understood the safety protocols for driving on the circuit.

To provide two different perspectives, Wuling invited media representatives to experience both passenger and driver roles, with one lap dedicated to each product. The test drive included various challenges, such as zigzag tracks to assess agility, stability, and steering control. Additionally, participants tested different driving modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—to understand the vehicles' performance characteristics, ending with a cruising session to feel the comfort of driving Wuling EVs.

Wuling EV ABC Stories represents the brand's commitment to providing eco-friendly mobility solutions. It starts with the Air ev, a compact, practical, and eco-friendly electric vehicle tailored for urban commuters. Next, the "B" in ABC stands for BinguoEV, Wuling's second electric hatchback with iconic design and a range of up to 410 kilometers per charge, offering a blend of functionality and distinctive styling. Lastly, the "C" represents Cloud EV, a medium-sized hatchback designed to offer greater comfort for both drivers and passengers. It boasts a spacious cabin, ergonomic interior, and a range of up to 460 kilometers, making it an ideal choice for long-distance journeys.

All Wuling ABC Stories products are locally manufactured at Wuling's Cikarang plant in West Java, with a local content requirement (TKDN) of over 40%. As a result, these three electric vehicles are eligible for VAT incentives from the government.

Due to consumer response to ABC Stories, Wuling is recognized as the No. 1 EV brand in Indonesia. From January to September 2024, BinguoEV led sales with 4,054 units, followed by Air ev with 2,149 units, and Cloud EV with 2,943 units, capturing a 33% market share during this period. This achievement has been acknowledged with multiple awards: 15 for Air ev, 3 for BinguoEV, and 2 for Cloud EV.

To welcome the year-end, Wuling offers the “Worry-Free With Wuling EV” program for every electric vehicle purchase, valid until December 2024. This program includes a Free Lifetime EV Core Component Warranty covering the battery, motor control unit, and electric motor, as well as Extensive Free Maintenance with complimentary service and spare parts for 16 intervals based on the service manual, plus a free 7kW AC charging pile and installation. Additionally, Air ev buyers receive a one-year electricity voucher worth IDR 2 million.
