Wuling Air ev Awarded as the National EV Adoption Leader at Katadata SAFE 2025
Appreciation from Katadata Media for Wuling’s contribution in accelerating electric vehicle adoption in Indonesia
Jakarta, September 10, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling), through its Air ev product line, was awarded the title of National EV Adoption Leader at the Katadata Green Initiative Award 2025. The award ceremony presented by Katadata Green and Katadata Insight Center (KIC) today is part of a series of activities held under Katadata Sustainability Action for The Future Economy (SAFE) 2025 ‘Green For Resilience’ at the Kempinski Grand Ballroom, Jakarta. This award is Katadata's appreciation for Wuling's contribution through Air ev in expanding the electric car market and participating in accelerating the electrification of mobility in Indonesia.

Katadata Sustainability Action for the Future Economy (SAFE) is an annual forum that discusses solutions and collaborations to drive a sustainable economy in Indonesia, involving government, businesses, communities, and civil society. Now in its sixth year, Katadata has chosen the theme “Green For Resilience,” calling for innovation, investment, and collaboration to strengthen resilience and a sustainable future, including in Indonesia.
As part of the Katadata Sustainability Action for The Future Economy (SAFE) series of events, the Katadata SAFE 2025 Awarding Night was held, and was divided into three categories, namely the Katadata ESG Awards 2025, Katadata Green Initiative Awards 2025, and Katadata Greenovator Awards 2025. The Katadata Green Initiative Awards 2025 were given to companies for their initiatives, efforts, and breakthroughs related to the application of sustainability principles and carbon emission reduction in running their businesses. Wuling Air ev was named National EV Adoption Leader in this category.

The first electric car from Wuling, Air ev, comes with an eco-friendly concept and practical mobility for everyone. Since its global launch in Indonesia in mid-August 2022, Air ev has become a popular electric vehicle in Indonesia, meeting urban mobility needs thanks to its compact dimensions, efficiency, ease of use, and flexibility. From its launch until August 2025, the Air ev has sold more than 20,000 units in Indonesia.
Responding to the warm welcome from consumers in Indonesia since its debut, Wuling refreshed the Air ev in February 2025. This electric vehicle, produced at the Wuling Cikarang plant in West Java, gets an update featuring Aerodynamic 3-Spoke Wheel Caps, an interior with a Tamarind Sunset theme, a new Starry Black exterior color, and is available in Pro and Lite variants with ranges of 300 km and 200 km, respectively.
In addition to being honored as the National EV Adoption Leader at Katadata SAFE 2025, Wuling Air ev has also received various recognitions from media partners throughout 2025. Starting from Best of Light EV at OTOMOTIF Award 2025 (May 2025), Cross-Channel Product Campaign at Marketeers Omni Brand of The Year 2025 (June 2025), to Best Brand for Electric City Car at Solopos Best Brand and Innovation Awards 2025 (July 2025).
