Wuling Almaz RS is Awarded as Car of the Year at Otomotif Award 2021
This Intelligent Digital Car is also awarded as Best of High SUV Gasoline.
Jakarta, 24 April 2021 – Wuling Motors (Wuling), through its newest SUV product line, has received appreciation in the Indonesian automotive industry. Almaz RS, which was launched at the end of last month, won two awards at the Otomotif Award 2021 event which was held virtually through the OTOMOTIF TV YouTube channel and Instagram @otomotifweekly today. Tabloid Otomotif awarded Almaz RS with the title of Car of the Year 2021 and the Best of High SUV Gasoline.

The assesment process in the Otomotif Award 2021, which has entered its 14th year, was carried out from April 2020 to April 2021 by the Tabloid Otomotif team for the two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle segments. The assesment conducted by Tabloid Otomotif based on several factors, from design, driving features, accommodation, price, performance, to fuel consumption.
Almaz RS 'Drive Unlimited Way' which was awarded as Car of the Year 2021 and Best of High SUV Gasoline at the Otomotif Award 2021 is a flagship model from Wuling which is equipped with the latest technology, starting from the Indonesian-language voice commands in the Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND) to the Wuling Interconnected Smart Ecosystem (WISE) innovation that integrates the Advanced Driving Assistant System (ADAS) and the Internet of Vehicle (IoV).
Regarding the Internet of Vehicle (IoV), this innovation connects users with vehicles through the MyWuling+ application and the head unit. Various features that can be controlled with the MyWuling+ application consist of Vehicle Positioning, Vehicle Remote Control, Geo-Fencing Security, to Bluetooth Key. Meanwhile, users can access Online Navigation, Online Music, and Internet Messaging App through the head unit which is supported by the WIND facility. ADAS is also available to provide convenience and comfort while driving with Almaz RS which is divided into four categories, namely Adaptive Cruise, Lane Recognition, Safe Distance & Braking Assistance, and Automatic Light.

This Rising Star also carries a two-tone accent on the exterior, the application of dynamic design that can be seen from the integrated future eyes LED, futuristic grille to dynamic tail design. Modern interior design is also presented at the Almaz RS, coupled with wireless charging pad, built in air ionizer, updates to the head unit display, as well as several additional buttons on the steering wheel that help users activate various features.
Almaz RS is powered by a gasoline engine with 4-cylinder configuration with a capacity of 1,500cc turbocharged which produces a maximum power of 140 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The machine delivers performance to the front wheels. This SUV relies on a CVT transmission which makes gearshift smooth and responsive.
Regarding other modern features, Almaz RS is accommodated by a panoramic sunroof, start-stop button, 360o Camera, Electric Parking Brake (EPB) and Auto Vehicle Holding (AVH), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Hold Control (HHC) Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Immobilizer, Front & Side Airbags to Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).
