Wuling Bakti Pendidikan Continues in Collaboration with SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri
Presenting a series of supports as a form of commitment to quality improvement in vocational schools.
Bantul, 21 December 2021 – Continuing its commitment to building education-based cooperation in Indonesia, Wuling Motors (Wuling) again held the 'Wuling Bakti Pendidikan' program which is now collaborating with SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri, Bantul, D.I.Yogyakarta. This collaboration was inaugurated in the signing of a symbolic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Taufik S. Arief as Aftersales Director of Wuling Motors and Sabarudin Ahmad, S.Pd.T as Principal of SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri, Yogyakarta.
Through this program, Wuling intends to provide various support in order to improve the quality of vocational school education through knowledge transfer from an industrial point of view. Wuling Bakti Pendidikan will provide a variety of assistance ranging from training for teachers and students, donations of daily learning objects, internship opportunities at various Wuling dealer networks, to opportunities to participate in the recruitment process for students who have an interest in a career at Wuling.

“In producing this nation’s next generation of competent people and to provide space for creativity and innovation for students, we recognize the importance of aligning the needs of vocational schools with the industry in Indonesia. For this reason, as a part of our ongoing commitment, the Wuling Bakti Pendidikan program keeps going on and this time at SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri as a form of knowledge transfer in developing the quality of education in vocational schools. This is a manifestation of the spirit of 'Drive For a Better Life' in all aspects of life, which in this case is realized for quality education,” Taufik S. Arief, Aftersales Director Wuling Motors explained.
As a form of support for the learning process and improving skills in the field of light vehicle engineering expertise (automotive), Wuling did a hand over of 1 Almaz Smart Enjoy unit as a practice vehicle at school, donations in the form of 1 unit turbo engine assy and 1 unit CVT transmission assy as training media for the students. To further strengthen the basic practical knowledge learned, Wuling also provided 1 set of learning modules in the form of a machine curriculum book & CVT and 1 set of mechanical manual service manuals. Experienced guest teachers will also come to provide thematic training and teaching of the Wuling curriculum. Wuling also provides opportunities for SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri students to become part of Wuling in the form of industrial practices or internships.
Wuling Bakti Pendidikan program received appreciation and a positive response from the SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri. “The entire family of SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri expressed their gratitude for the initiative to collaborate with Wuling. This is the beginning of the momentum for us to produce more outstanding students with good skills to be ready to compete in the world of work. Hopefully this good step can produce positive things for the progress of the automotive industry in the future," Sabarudin Ahmad, S.Pd.T, Head of SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri said.

About SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri – Yogyakarta
SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri – Yogyakarta is high school institution established in 1989 under the auspices of the Muhammadiyah Foundation or Persyarikatan. SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri in 2017 obtained an "A" accredited title from the National Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasah and now has 4 majors/concentration of expertise, namely Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering (TKRO), Motorcycle Business Engineering (TBSM), Computer Network Engineering (TKJ), and Fashion Design stands on an area of 9,732 m2.
