Wuling Brings an Environmentally Friendly Lifestyle Experience with Air ev
Partnering with lifestyle media partners to drive Wuling's first electric car for the Indonesian market
Tangerang, 19 August 2022 - Wuling Motors (Wuling) today continued the First Driving Impression Wuling Air ev event at the NavaPark complex, BSD City for media partners in the lifestyle category. Through this event, Wuling provided media partners with experiences regarding Air ev which is a mobility solution and supports the environmentally friendly modern lifestyle in urban areas. A total of three 3 (three) units of Wuling Air ev were used by media partners to try it on the route that had been prepared.

“Carrying the tagline Drive For A Green Life, Wuling Air ev offers various conveniences in urban mobility with the advantages of environmentally friendly electric vehicles. These includes easy to use, easy to charge and easy to own. In this activity, media colleagues had the opportunity to directly drive Wuling Air ev or enjoy the comfort of being passengers. It is a different and environmentally friendly driving experience,” explained Brian Gomgom as Media Relations Wuling Motors.
To begin this event, fellow journalists first watched a welcome video from Wuling Motors which was followed by a brief explanation of the procedures for driving Wuling Air ev, and closed with an explanation of the trajectory used by media colleagues. After that, media colleagues used the three Air ev units that had been provided to be tested in person, both as drivers and passengers. On this track prepared in the Nava Park area, fellow journalists can try various common situations, such as ramps to try the Hill Hold Control and Auto Vehicle Holding (AVH) features, u-turn maneuvers, to zig-zag maneuvers.

As one of the supporting innovations that makes daily driving easier, fellow journalists also try a modern feature in Wuling Air ev, namely the Smart Start System. This feature allows users to start this compact electric car without pressing a button or turning a key. Users only need to carry the key, press the brake, wait for the word 'ready' in the instrument cluster, then turn the transmission knob to D or R, and deactivate the electric parking brake, then the Air ev is ready to run. Meanwhile, to turn off the Air ev by stepping on the brake pedal, then turning the transmission knob to P and activating the electric parking brake, then locking the door from outside the car.
Wuling Air ev itself is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 30 kW and a torque of 110 Nm which is suitable for daily mobility in urban areas. The battery capacity used is categorized into two according to the two Air ev variants, namely 17.3 kWh for the Standard Range type with a distance of up to 200 kilometers and 26.7 kWh for the Long Range type which can cover a distance of up to 300 kilometers when fully charged. Based on Wuling's observations, the capabilities of the electric motor and battery have greatly accommodated the needs of city mobility.
In order to support the needs of a modern lifestyle, Wuling Air ev also comes with leading innovations from Wuling. Vehicle accessibility is now supported by the sophistication of the Internet of Vehicle (IoV) which makes users and their vehicles connected via the MyWuling+ remote control app. This innovation allows users to control various functions on the vehicle via a smartphone. In addition, traveling is even easier with the support of the first voice command feature that uses Indonesian, namely Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND) to operate various features in this electric vehicle.
