Wuling Collaborates with Grab in the Development of Mobility EV in Indonesia
Supporting the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia’s app-based transportation service
Jakarta, June 19 2026 - Wuling Motors (Wuling) strengthened its collaboration with Grab Indonesia through a collaboration with GrabRentals, Grab’s vehicle rental business line. The collaboration was marked by a handover ceremony held today (6/19) at Cerita Rasa Nusantara, Jakarta. This fleet handover ceremony represents a collaborative effort from both companies to expand the application of electric vehicles and support the development of a sustainable mobility ecosystem in Indonesia.

The collaboration between Wuling and GrabRentals Indonesia becomes a strategic step to expand the adoption of electric vehicles within Indonesia’s mobility ecosystem. Through this collaboration, both companies are delivering mobility solutions that combine electric vehicle innovation with app-based transportation services, supporting more efficient, accessible, and sustainable mobility for the public.

The Wuling New BinguoEV Lite has been selected to support operations within GrabRentals Indonesia’s service ecosystem, thanks to its combination of iconic design, ease of use, and driving comfort for daily mobility needs. With the tagline ‘Be The Icon’, this electric hatchback is equipped with a 31.9 kWh LFP battery, offering a driving range of up to 333 kilometers based on the CLTC standard. It also features smartphone interconnection capabilities and DC fast charging technology, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes.

As the leading app-based transportation company, Grab Indonesia continues to expand the adoption of electric vehicles as part of its long-term commitment to provide a lower-emission mobility ecosystem while also creating economic opportunities for driver-partners and providing quality services for users. Currently, more than 14,000 electric vehicles operate across Grab’s ecosystem in Indonesia, including GrabRentals. Grab Indonesia is also targeting a threefold increase in its electric vehicle fleet by the end of 2026.

As part of this collaboration, Wuling is also supporting the implementation of GrabRentals Indonesia’s electric vehicle fleet through after-sales services, technical support, and training programs for driver-partners and mechanics.
