Wuling Collaborates with Telkomsel, Strengthening Indonesia’s Electric Vehicle Ecosystem with IoT Solutions
Jakarta, December 15, 2023 – Coinciding with the launch of Wuling's latest electric vehicle, BinguoEV (pronounced: Bing-go EV), today Wuling Motors (Wuling) also inaugurated a partnership with PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) part of Telkom Group as Indonesia's digital ecosystem enabler. In the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing session held at Kota Kasablanka, Wuling affirmed its commitment to providing a connected and innovative driving experience for Wuling electric vehicle customers by utilizing Telkomsel's leading digital network and services. The inauguration of this cooperation creates a strong foundation to deliver smart and integrated mobility solutions in the era of environmentally friendly vehicles.

One of the collaboration points between Wuling and Telkomsel is the Internet of Vehicles (Connected Car) to improve connectivity and driving experience. Wuling will utilize Telkomsel's network infrastructure by embedding Telkomsel B2B SIM card profiles in Wuling electric vehicles. Thus, Wuling electric car owners can enjoy advanced telematics services, including vehicle condition monitoring, smart navigation, and in-car entertainment. This cooperation provides a smarter and more integrated driving experience for consumers by utilizing IoT (Internet of Things) solutions.

Then, Wuling also collaborated with Telkomsel in the field of Fleet Management System. Telkomsel will provide a specialized IoT solution designed for fleet management systems to support Wuling electric vehicle fleet owners. This solution not only includes real-time monitoring and reporting of vehicle performance, but also proper integration for electric vehicle charging stations. This cooperation presents an efficient and connected fleet management system, creating opportunities to increase productivity in the use of fleets that can answer the demands of utilizing renewable energy technology for progress, in line with the responsibility to preserve nature and a sustainable future.
Furthermore, Wuling and Telkomsel plan to present joint marketing campaigns with more targeted product offerings according to customer preferences and needs through the utilization of telco data insight platforms that will open up opportunities for more than 158.3 million Telkomsel customers. With the implementation of better data-driven marketing strategies, both companies will drive business growth and an increasingly innovative and connected Indonesian digital ecosystem.
