Wuling Darion, Indonesia’s First EV and PHEV MPV, Officially Introduced in Surabaya
Residents of the City of Heroes can now experience Wuling’s newest electrified family MPV up close
Surabaya, November 27, 2025 – After being officially introduced at the national level and continuing its regional launch series across major cities, Wuling Motors (Wuling) today presented the Darion ‘Evolving Family Moments’ in Surabaya. Through this event, Wuling brings the latest MPV equipped with EV and PHEV electrification technologies closer to consumers, offering a modern mobility solution for Indonesian families.

Carrying the Elegant Streamline Design concept, Darion features an aerodynamic and harmonious exterior. The PHEV variant is equipped with a bold Diamond Cut Grille, while both EV and PHEV variants adopt X Shape styled front and rear lamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, and a Hidden Slide Rail that enhances its modern and refined appearance.
As a family oriented MPV, Darion offers a spacious cabin with a 2+2+3 seating configuration to maximize passenger comfort. The second row in the EX variant features ventilated electric captain seats for an elevated travel experience. The Autocomfort Sliding Door operated electrically makes entry and exit easier, while the Walnut Brown and Carbon Black two tone interior with soft synthetic leather materials creates a premium and warm ambiance.
For safety, Darion is equipped with a High Strength Steel Cage Body, six airbags, ISOFIX, a 360 degree camera, and active safety features such as ABS, EBD, ESC, EPB, AVH, and TPMS. Additional convenience is provided through a 12.8 inch control screen, smartphone interconnection, wireless charging, electric sunroof, smart electric tailgate, and electric rear view mirror.

In terms of performance, Darion comes with two electrification options to meet different consumer needs. The EV variant is powered by a 150 kW electric motor paired with the MAGIC Battery Pro, offering a driving range of up to 540 kilometers (CLTC). This battery technology also supports DC Fast Charging for shorter charging times, making the EV variant suitable for both daily commuting and long distance trips. The PHEV variant adopts the Ling Power technology which combines a 1,498 cc gasoline engine with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). This configuration delivers optimal efficiency along with smooth and powerful performance. With a combined driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers and up to 125 kilometers (CLTC) in pure electric mode, the Darion PHEV provides worry free mobility for various travel needs.
All Darion models are built on the global Wonder Flexible Modular System (WFMS) platform and enhanced with leading technologies such as the LING Power Hybrid System, MAGIC Battery Pro, LING OS, and Level 2 ADAS.
Wuling Darion is available in four variants, EV CE, EV EX, PHEV CE, and PHEV EX, with color options including Haze Grey, Frosty White, Starry Black, and Orchid Purple. Wuling also offers a special program that includes a Lifetime Warranty for EV and PHEV core components, free labor for five periodic maintenance services, and complimentary window film and floor mats. This promotional program is valid until 30 November 2025.
