All Darion units reached the finish line after 1,200 kilometers without refueling or recharging
Jakarta, November 12, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) officially concluded the first wave of the Darion ‘Evolving Family Moments’ Media Drive, which took place from 10 November 2025 until this evening. In this event, 28 national automotive journalists traveled from Jakarta to Bali using seven units of the Wuling Darion PHEV, successfully reaching the finish point at Bebek Tepi Sawah, Tuban after covering a total distance of 1,200 kilometers with remaining energy still available. Throughout this long-distance journey, participants experienced firsthand the efficiency, performance, and comfort of Indonesia’s first PHEV MPV, the Wuling Darion.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the automotive journalists participating in the Darion Media Drive. The long journey from Jakarta to Bali is a real testament to the Darion PHEV’s ability to deliver an efficient, powerful, and comfortable driving experience across diverse road conditions. We also congratulate all teams for successfully completing the How Far Can You Go Challenge with outstanding results, as every media team managed to reach the finish line. This achievement reflects how the PHEV system can be fully optimized once users understand and experience its technologies directly on the road,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors.

All participating teams earned the Finisher title after traveling more than 1,000 kilometers on a single full tank of fuel and a full battery charge. The Ling Power Hybrid System intelligently managed power distribution between the electric motor and gasoline engine to maintain responsive performance while maximizing fuel efficiency. The Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) also ensured smooth and optimized power transitions throughout the journey.
“During the drive from Jakarta to Bali, media participants explored all Driving Modes and Energy Modes available in the Wuling Darion PHEV. The Driving Modes consist of Custom, Eco, Standard, and Sport, while the Energy Modes include EV Max, EV First, HEV, and Fuel Priority. With the right strategies and proper mode selection based on road conditions, every team was able to maximize driving range and reach the finish successfully,” explained Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager of Wuling Motors.

Beyond efficiency, journalists also highlighted the Darion’s consistent comfort throughout the entire journey. This 7-seater MPV offers a spacious cabin with a 2+2+3 configuration, electric captain seats with ventilation, and generous legroom in all rows. The Walnut Brown and Carbon Black interior creates a warm and elegant atmosphere, while the PM2.5 air filter system ensures clean cabin air across long intercity routes.
