Wuling Introduces Cloud EV, Medium Hatchback EV with The Future of Comfort
Wuling's latest electric vehicle emphasizes premium comfort and advanced features and technology
Jakarta, May 15 2024 – After the Cloud EV launch event held at the Main Atrium, Senayan City, Wuling Motors (Wuling) invited media colleagues to learn more about its latest electric vehicle at a media briefing event at Brewerkz, Senayan City. Through this activity, media colleagues received comprehensive information about the various advantages of the Cloud EV, which was officially launched today in the Indonesian electric vehicle segment.
“The latest electric car from Wuling, the Cloud EV, carries the tagline 'Driving The Future of Comfort.' This medium hatchback EV combines futuristic design, premium comfort, and leading-edge technology to provide the best driving quality that is environmentally friendly,” explained Danang Wiratmoko, Product Planning Manager of Wuling Motors.

The Cloud EV features a 'cloud'-inspired exterior design with a dynamic and elegant look. The front is adorned with Automatic LED Headlights and Infinity Luminous position light that stretches horizontally. On the side, the flushed door handles create a luxurious and minimalist impression. At the rear, the Horizon Skyline Tail Light further emphasizes the elegant style, complemented by the Rear Defogger on the rear windshield. The use of 18” Ferris-shaped Alloy Wheels makes this electric vehicle more proportional.
Moving to the interior, every inch of the space is designed with the orientation of home-like comfort, utilizing up to 84.7 percent of the cabin space to maximize legroom. The Cloud EV features an ergonomic 5-seater configuration with leather material in an Italian Bubble Style Design. The front row seat adjustments can be easily made thanks to the electric seat adjuster feature. Driver comfort is further enhanced by the Leather-Wrapped Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel and Electronic Column Shifter. Additionally, the storage compartment in the Cloud EV can accommodate a lot of luggage, with a trunk capacity of up to 1,707 liters with the rear seats folded and 18 storage compartments.
The comfort of the Cloud EV is further enhanced by the maximum reclining capability of the front and rear seats, which can recline up to 135°, giving the impression of sitting on a sofa. The use of soft-touch materials throughout the interior, along with rose gold-colored panels, adorn and add a luxurious feel to the Cloud EV. The advantages of the Cloud EV interior are also complemented by the presence of an 8.8-inch MID screen on the dashboard, a tea table-style center console that also functions as a storage box, and an Atmospheric Multicolor Ambient Light, which is available in up to 256 color choices, adding to the classy impression.

This third electric vehicle from Wuling is equipped with a complete range of innovative technologies to make journeys more enjoyable. These include a smart electric tailgate that can be operated through voice commands, the head unit, and key detection to facilitate trunk access, a 15.6-inch Intelligent Control Panel that functions as a vehicle control center and entertainment feature, and an All-Around 360° Camera. There are also other features available such as digital AC with a PM 2.5 filter, Keyless Entry and Smart Start System, Power Windows, AC in the second row, a Multifunction Switch on the steering wheel, a Wireless Charger, a 20W USB Port for Fast Charging, and up to 6 speakers to complete this electric car.
Wuling Cloud EV also comes with a series of unique innovations by Wuling. First, the Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND) feature, an Indonesian voice command system, allows drivers to control various features, including several new commands such as checking the remaining battery power, opening the trunk, and changing the driving mode. In addition, vehicle status can be monitored via MyWuling+, which allows users to access important information about the vehicle in real time. Information such as vehicle location, total odometer, remaining battery power and mileage, and vehicle function status can be accessed by Cloud EV owners through this application. Another advanced innovation in the Cloud EV is the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), an active safety feature designed to maximize the driving experience. ADAS includes four categories: Adaptive Cruise, Lane Recognition, Safe Distance & Braking Assistance, and Automatic Light.
Not only prioritizes comfort, the Cloud EV also maximizes driving safety with complete safety features. These include Auto Vehicle Holding, Electric Parking Brake, Electronic Stability Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Emergency Stop Signal, Rear Parking Sensor, Pedestrian Sound Warning, ISOFIX, and 4 SRS Airbags. The braking system is supported by disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, ABS, EBD, BA, and Hill Hold Control. Additionally, the Cloud EV is equipped with security features such as an anti-theft alarm and immobilizer.
In terms of performance, the Cloud EV is marketed with a range of up to 460 km. This electric vehicle is powered by a 50.6 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery combined with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that can produce 100 kW (134 hp) of power and 200 Nm of torque. Apart from that, the Cloud EV also offers four driving mode options—ECO, ECO+, Normal, and Sport—allowing it to be customized according to the needs and driving style of the driver.
