Wuling Invites Media to Experience the Wuling Eksion ‘Exploring Family Journeys’ to Yogyakarta
32 national media journalists are given the opportunity to experience Wuling’s latest 7-seater SUV directly
Jakarta, June 3, 2026 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) invited 32 national media representatives to participate in the Wuling Eksion ‘Exploring Family Journeys’ Media Drive, held from June 3–5, 2026. On this occasion, media participants will begin their journey from Cerita Rasa Nusantara, Jakarta, to Yogyakarta via the Jakarta – Purwokerto – Wonosobo route, covering more than 550 kilometers to experience the driving experience of the Wuling Eksion Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). A total of 8 units of the Wuling Eksion PHEV EX variant accompany the media participants throughout the journey.

“Through this activity, media can directly experience traveling with the Wuling Eksion across various road conditions. With a route that presents diverse terrain characteristics, including mountainous roads, as well as a family travel simulation, participants can explore the comfort, practicality, and various features that support long-distance driving experiences,” said Aji Ibrahim, Product Planning Wuling Motors.
The first batch of the Eksion media drive carries the theme Mountain Exploration Journey, designed to provide a driving experience across various road characteristics. To create a more realistic family travel simulation, each vehicle is occupied by four participants along with their luggage. The entire journey is divided into three stages, starting from Jakarta to Purwokerto on the first day, continuing to Wonosobo on the second day, and concluding with the final stage to Yogyakarta. This route was selected as it offers a combination of toll roads, urban areas, and mountainous roads with varying elevations and turns.

Throughout the journey, participants can try various Driving Mode configurations consisting of Eco, Normal, and Sport, as well as Energy Modes including EV Max, EV First, Hybrid, and Fuel Priority. These settings are part of the Ling Power technology, which enables the vehicle to optimize the use of electric power and the gasoline engine according to travel needs. In addition, participants can also experience how the Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) works adaptively to deliver responsive yet efficient performance across different road conditions.
Media participants can also directly experience how Ling Power technology operates under various driving conditions. This Plug-in Hybrid system combines a 1.5L dedicated hybrid engine, a 145 kW electric motor, a 20.5 kWh battery, and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) to deliver responsive and efficient performance. In operation, Ling Power is capable of automatically managing the use of electric power and the gasoline engine according to driving requirements, providing an optimal driving experience in various travel situations.

Supported by a wide range of Driving Modes and Energy Modes, the system intelligently manages the use of electric power and the gasoline engine according to driving needs, providing a balance between performance, energy efficiency, and driving comfort,” explained Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager Wuling Motors.
The Wuling Eksion PHEV is powered by Ling Power technology, which combines a 1.5L dedicated hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of up to 43.2%, a 145 kW electric motor, a 20.5 kWh battery, and a fast-response Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). This 7-seater SUV is capable of traveling up to 125 kilometers in pure electric mode and offers a total driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers (CLTC). To enhance comfort during family journeys, the Wuling Eksion is also equipped with various premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, an intelligent control panel, a PM2.5 air filter, electric seat adjustment, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
