Smart Technology SUV Wuling became the choice for the Indonesian automotive journalist forum
Jakarta, 15 October 2019 – Wuling Almaz has been named the FORWOT Car of the Year 2019 in the award event organized by the Automotive Journalists Forum (FORWOT) on Tuesday (15/10) at Dhonika Café, South Jakarta. In this prestigious event, FORWOT succeeded in bringing together 36 new cars with assessments based on various aspects such as design, comfort, safety, economic value, handling, performance, environmental friendliness, functional, driving experience, and price.

The Wuling product line that carries the tagline 'Drive Unlimited Way' is produced at a factory that applies the 'Global Manufacturing System' (GMS) and is located in Cikarang, West Java. In addition, the basis of this model itself has a global standard marked by the commencement of the export activities of Wuling’s SUV-based product to several countries in the Southeast Asia and Oceania region last September.
Wuling Almaz is equipped with innovative interactive voice commands which are operated using everyday Indonesian, namely Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND). This technology allows users to turn on, turn off, or operate a variety of vehicle features, ranging from air conditioners, windows, panoramic sunroofs, access to entertainment features such as music or radio, make phone calls, run applications such as Wuling Link or TPMS, to time and date information. These advanced features form the smart ecosystem in the era of modern mobility.

Regarding specifications and features, Almaz is reinforced with a turbocharged 1,500cc engine capable of producing a maximum power of 140 HP and 250 Nm of torque channeled through a CVT transmission with a choice of eco and sport driving modes, also responsive 8-speed manual simulation. In addition, Almaz also comes with a 6-speed manual transmission option. Turning to the feature side, the Wuling Medium SUV is accommodated with panoramic sunroof, start-stop button, keyless remote, keyless entry, Infinity by Harman sound system, 360o camera, up to a complete safety features.
Almaz carries a stunning and sporty exterior design on the front and is still the main attraction through the Integrated Future Eyes LED and LED projector headlights embedded in the area below. Not only that, on the side applied dynamic parallel and floating roof styles that make it look more modern. For Almaz color choices, Wuling markets it in six choices namely Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Pristine White, Dazzling Silver, Carnelian Red and Burgundy Red.
