In showcasing the Mitra EV Ambulance, Wuling collaborated with Ambulance Pintar Indonesia (API) to develop an electric vehicle designed to support emergency medical services. This collaboration combines Wuling’s electric vehicle platform with the operational requirements of an ambulance, resulting in a solution designed to support medical personnel mobility, as well as patient access and treatment in the field.
The Mitra EV Ambulance was developed with the operational needs of healthcare services in mind, from providing sufficient space for medical personnel to ensuring ease of patient access. The patient cabin measures 205 cm in length, 128 cm in height, and 140 cm in width, and is equipped with various supporting features, including hospital-grade antibacterial vinyl flooring, a lighting system, air conditioning, an equipment cabinet with brackets, a power inverter for medical equipment, a medical attendant seat, and a stretcher platform.
To support on-site emergency response needs, the Mitra EV Ambulance is also equipped with a range of medical devices that meet emergency care requirements, including a patient monitor, wall-mounted aneroid sphygmomanometer, scoop stretcher, head immobilization, AED defibrillator, portable suction unit, portable ventilator, neck collar, and emergency bag. On the exterior, the vehicle is also equipped with a flash lightbar and siren to support priority travel, along with a body design that facilitates patient entry and exit.
The Mitra EV is Wuling’s commercial electric vehicle, built around the concept of ‘Satu Rekan, Banyak Solusi’ and is available in two versions: Blind Van and Minibus. The vehicle combines functionality, efficiency, modern design, and advanced features to support a wide range of operational needs. The display of the Mitra EV Ambulance at EDRR Indonesia 2026 is expected to broaden awareness and highlight the potential of electric vehicles as part of a more sustainable mobility solution for healthcare services, emergency response, and public needs in a more sustainable manner.
