Wuling Electric Vehicle Community Experiences the ‘Light of ASEAN’ Concept Car at IIMS 2025
WEVI, WBiC, and WEVIC take a closer look at wuling's concept vehicle
Jakarta, February 16, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) invited its three official electric vehicle communities to visit the Wuling booth at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 on Saturday (15/02). On this occasion, Wuling, together with Wuling Electric Vehicle Indonesia (WEVI), Wuling BinguoEV Indonesia Community (WBiC), and Wuling EV Indonesia Cloud (WEVIC), took a closer look at the Light of ASEAN concept car at the Wuling booth located at Hall D, booth D2, JIEXPO Kemayoran.
This visit was a special moment for members of Wuling's official communities to witness firsthand the Light of ASEAN, a concept car that reflects Wuling's global vision of providing environmentally friendly vehicles focused on the ASEAN market. One of the elements that caught the community's attention was the Light of ASEAN's door design.
Rachmat Dwibiyanthoro, Head of the WEVI Jakarta Chapter, expressed his thoughts on the gull-wing doors of the Light of ASEAN. “When the doors opened upwards, it was a definite wow moment. It is definitely a head turner type of car. It's amazing that Wuling can also create such a cool concept car like this.”

In addition to the gull-wing doors, community members were also impressed by the Light of ASEAN's interior, which embodies future mobility. The implementation of the ‘Zero Gravity Dual Mode Cabin’ gives the front seats a floating appearance without touching the car floor while maintaining hydraulic balance, offering a relaxed yet futuristic vibe. Moreover, the driver and passenger areas are distinctly separated to enhance comfort and functionality, representing the cabin experience of the future.
Billy John, Secretary-General of the WBiC community, also shared his impression of the Light of ASEAN's cabin. “The cabin feels so futuristic. The front seats seem to be floating. It truly feels like peeking into the future.”

Another innovation embedded in the Light of ASEAN is the Ultra-Low Aerodynamic Drag, reducing wind resistance to as low as 0.18Cd. This technology not only contributes to vehicle energy efficiency but also optimizes performance, especially during road driving.
Regarding the Light of ASEAN's exterior, community members also admired the overall design of this concept car. The Light of ASEAN features bold and modern aerodynamic lines, creating a dynamic and distinctive appearance. The front design adopts a cross-star cone model with sleek LED lights, giving it a sharp and sophisticated look. The rear of the car is equipped with a wing that appears to be floating, enhancing stability and aerodynamics.
“The exterior is really impressive, truly different. The front also has a strong character that aligns with the rear design. This concept car should definitely be on the bucket list to see in person at the Wuling booth,” said Anton, Chairman of WEVIC.
As additional information, the Light of ASEAN made its debut at the 21st ASEAN Economic Expo in Nanning, China, on September 24, 2024, and IIMS 2025 marks the first time the Light of ASEAN concept car is showcased to the Indonesian public. The Light of ASEAN is designed as an innovative vehicle that prioritizes performance and energy efficiency.
The Light of ASEAN concept car can be viewed directly by visitors at the IIMS 2025 automotive exhibition from February 13 to February 23, 2025.
