Wuling Hands Over Air ev to Jusuf Hamka as the First Fleet Customer

Cikarang, 9 September 2022 – After officially launched in Indonesia on 11 August 2022, today Wuling Motors (Wuling) handed over its first electric vehicle in Indonesia to one of the country’s leading businessman, Jusuf Hamka. The ceremony, which was held at the Wuling factory located in Cikarang, became the official sign of Jusuf Hamka as Air ev’s first fleet customer with the purchase of 35 units.

“We appreciate the trust given by Mr. Jusuf Hamka to Air ev as a form of his support for the acceleration of vehicle electrification in Indonesia and a form of contribution to environmental sustainability. This also encourages us to continue to be committed to present environmentally friendly vehicle innovations in the country in line with the spirit of Drive For A Green Life,” said Dian Asmahani as Brand & Marketing Director of Wuling Motors.
Jusuf Hamka also revealed that many challenges that he has to face when driving in the middle of the city and he needed a vehicle that can answer these challenges. The Air EV, which is an electric vehicle with a compact design from Wuling, is the answer to driving in urban areas with ease, especially since this car uses electric power from a battery so that it does not produce emissions and is certainly environmentally friendly.

Therefore, I feel confident to have an electric vehicle and I choose Air ev from Wuling. In my opinion, the various advantages that Air ev has will make it easier for me to carry out daily mobility in urban areas,” explained this toll road construction businessman.
