Wuling Supports the 2021 National Level Vocational Student Competency Competition (LKS)
A commitment for education in the country to improve the competence of human resources.
Bandung, October 30th 2021 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) has again demonstrated its commitment to education, this time by contributing in the 2021 Student Competency Competition (LKS), especially for Vocational High School (SMK) students. In collaboration with the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia as the organizer, Wuling provides its support in the Autobody Repair competency. This collaboration is expected to produce outstanding SMK students who can compete nationally and internationally.
“The importance of vocational education is now becoming more evident with the need for skilled and competent workforce in their fields. With the spirit of Drive For A Better Life, Wuling contributes to the world of vocational education, this time in the 2021 national level SMK LKS activities. We hope that this support can help the competition to produce competent vocational students who are able to compete nationally and globally,” explained Taufik S. Arief, After Sales Director of Wuling Motors.

Wuling's support for this year's LKS competition has taken various forms. Starting from the uniforms, banner, and standing banner that were used throughout the competition period. In addition, Wuling also gave prizes to three vocational students who won the national competition in the form of award certificates, Wuling merchandise, and educational scholarships This is done in the context of fostering vocational students to improve their competence.
LKS SMK 2021 is a prestigious competition for vocational schools in Indonesia. The vocational student skills competition will be held on October 24-30, 2021, which this year carries the theme 'Together with High Achiever Vocational Talents, Stepping Forward to Build the Nation'. This year, in the ongoing pandemic situation, competitions are held online from the district, provincial, to national levels. A total of 1,074 students from 1,068 schools in 1,032 cities/regencies in 34 provinces participated in the 2021 LKS spread across 42 competency branches, including the automotive branch.

LKS 2021 is divided into three stages of competition. The district/city stage is the first step for every participant who takes part in this competition. The winner of the district/city stage will be a representative to compete in the second stage at the respective provincial level. At the provincial level, participants representing each district/city will compete again to show their respective field competencies to become winners who will represent their provinces at the national level. Then, the provincial representative participants will take the competency test again at the national level to win the title of LKS SMK 2021 which will represent Indonesia in international events such as the ASEAN Skills Competition, Worldskills Asia Competition, and Worldskills International Competition.
“We will consistently support education in Indonesia to cultivate competent and skilled vocational talents to compete in the work field. We hope that through the 2021 LKS, there will be more qualified talents of vocational students to reach their goals for a better life. We also congratulate the winners of the 2021 LKS," concluded Taufik S. Arief.
