Jakarta, 23 December 2023 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) made another achievement through its electric vehicle line, Air ev, which received the FORWOT Car of The Year 2023 title for the battery electric vehicle (BEV) category at the 20th Anniversary of the Automotive Journalists Forum (FORWOT) held on Friday night (22/12) yesterday. At the event held in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, two other Wuling product lines also received appreciation for different categories. Starting from Wuling New Almaz RS Pro Hybrid as a favorite in the hybrid class and Wuling Alvez is also a favorite in the internal combustion engine (ICE) category.

The FORWOT Car of the Year 2023 vehicle assessment process is carried out in stages starting from testing and selecting product lines that launched from January 2022 to October 2023 by the judges team that has been formed by FORWOT. Then, from hundreds of cars that have been rigorously tested, the jury nominates the five best cars for each category. This year, there are three Car of the Year categories, namely Internal Combustion Engine, Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicle. After that, the jury announced the Car of the Year title from each category with the highest total points.
Wuling Air ev managed to record 129 points or the highest in the BEV category, thus earning the title of FORWOT Car of The Year 2023 for the electric car class. Since its debut, Wuling's first electric car in the country was warmly welcomed by the Indonesian people and became the best-selling electric car in Indonesia in a short time. The Wuling electric car, which is produced in Cikarang, carries a modern and compact design that is easy to use.
