Wuling Holds BinguoEV First Dynamic Impression Exclusively with Media Colleagues
Media colleagues had the opportunity to experience the sensation of green driving with Wuling's latest electric car
Tangerang Regency, November 24, 2023 - After officially unveiling the exterior and interior of BinguoEV (pronounced: Bing-go EV) last week, Wuling Motors (Wuling) yesterday (23/11) and today invited media partners exclusively to experience the sensation of driving with Wuling's latest electric vehicle in the BSD City area. In the activity entitled Wuling BinguoEV First Dynamic Impression, 3 (three) BinguoEV units were prepared to be driven in the prepared area and one other unit was available to be explored by media partners. This opportunity was given in order to provide more in-depth information about the driving sensation, comfort, and features available in this environmentally friendly vehicle.
"We are offering our media colleagues the opportunity to test drive the Wuling BinguoEV. Through this event, we want to build a deeper understanding of the advantages offered by Wuling's second electric vehicle for the Indonesian market. We hope that this short opportunity can answer the curiosity of media colleagues about the sensation of exciting driving with BinguoEV," explained Dian Asmahani as Brand & Marketing Director of Wuling Motors.

Starting this event, journalists first watched a welcome video from Wuling Motors followed by a brief explanation of how to drive the Wuling BinguoEV, and continued with an explanation of the route used. Then, the media had the opportunity to try the BinguoEV that had been provided. On the available track, media partners can conduct tests that illustrate mobility in general, including acceleration on a straight road, driving with the Cruise Control feature, reverse parking assisted by the Rear Parking Camera, stopping on an incline safely supported by the AVH and Creeping Function features, and walking zigzags to try agility in maneuvering.
Upon entering the BinguoEV cabin and starting to drive, media partners were able to try out the advanced features of the BinguoEV, namely the Smart Start System that has also been applied in Air ev. This feature allows users to start the electric car without pressing a button or turning a key. All the user has to do is carry the key, buckle up, apply the brakes, and wait for the 'ready' notification on the meter cluster display, then turn the transmission knob to D or R, disable the Electric Parking Brake, and the BinguoEV is ready to go.

Media partners had the opportunity to try out the BinguoEV's performance. This electric vehicle has four driving mode options, namely ECO, ECO+, Sport, and Normal. In this activity, Wuling gave media partners the opportunity to feel the BinguoEV's more responsive acceleration with Sport mode. Furthermore, media partners can try the Cruise Control feature integrated on the left side of the steering wheel. This feature can be activated above 40 km/h to maintain a consistent speed that allows for a more relaxed and efficient journey.
Zig-zag challenge is also available for media partners to test the agility of this electric car. Then, media members tried to stop on an incline safely thanks to the Auto Vehicle Holding feature and Creeping Function. After driving the BinguoEV, media partners can park the vehicle with the help of the Rear Parking Camera with dynamic trajectory. To turn off the BinguoEV, simply step on the brake pedal, then turn the transmission knob to P and activate the Electric Parking Brake, then lock the door from outside the car.
Moreover, a static BinguoEV unit is available to illustrate the spacious trunk of this electric car. The BinguoEV is supported by a 310-liter luggage capacity that can be expanded to 790 liters by folding both rear-row seats. Here, media colleagues can also see the practicality of storing luggage in the BinguoEV, which has a total of 15 compartments.
With the combination of features described above, Wuling BinguoEV combines the concept of modern mobility that not only prioritizes environmentally friendly energy, but also prioritizes comfort, safety, and the quality of the driving experience.
