Advanced Innovations of New Almaz RS Pro Hybrid Brings The Limitless Driving Experience
Ranging from ADAS, Wuling Remote Control App, Indonesian Voice Command to Hybrid are embedded on this flagship SUV
Jakarta, October 5, 2023 - As part of the New Almaz RS launch event series, Wuling Motors (Wuling) held a media briefing session to explain the various sophisticated innovations embedded in this medium SUV at Toby's Estate, Mall Kelapa Gading 3. The various innovations include Hybrid technology, Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND), Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), and Wuling Remote Control App.
"Equipping the car with innovations such as WIND, ADAS, and the Wuling Remote Control App is our edge that we still carry on presenting in New Almaz RS so that consumers can experience a safe yet comfortable driving experience. Wuling New Almaz RS Pro Hybrid is the highest trim of the latest Almaz series. This variant uses a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 2,000 cc combined with an electric motor and a 1.8 kWh capacity battery that is capable of producing impressive performance and fuel efficiency. This is thanks to the Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system that combines the two sources of performance.
The drive system on the New Almaz RS Pro Hybrid is in the series-parallel hybrid category which supports 3 power delivery modes, namely EV Mode, Series Hybrid, and Parallel Hybrid. In EV Mode, the wheels are fully driven by an electric motor that draws energy from the battery. Meanwhile, in Series Hybrid mode, the wheels are still driven by the electric motor, but the gasoline engine turns on to charge the battery via the motor generator. In Parallel Hybrid mode, the gasoline engine and electric motor operate simultaneously to produce maximum performance. The system is able to automatically determine the driving mode according to the battery condition, vehicle speed, and the user's driving style.

To ensure driving comfort and safety, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) innovation is also presented in the New Almaz RS line. The ADAS function utilizes advanced camera sensors which are divided into four categories, namely Adaptive Cruise, Lane Recognition, Safe Distance & Braking Assistance, and Automatic light. The Adaptive Cruise category includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Bend Cruise Assistance (BCA), Traffic Jam Assistance (TJA) with lane-keeping function, and Intelligent Cruise Assistance (ICA) with lane-keeping function. Then, there are Safe Distance Warning (SDW), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation System (CMS), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Intelligent Hydraulic Braking Assistance (IHBA) in the Safe Distance & Braking Assistance category. The Lane Departure Warning feature in the Lane Recognition category is also ready to help users to drive safely in their lanes. Then, the Automatic light category is able to automatically adjust the height of the headlight beam.
Moving on to the next features on New Almaz RS which is Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND). This innovation is the first Indonesian voice command in the country. Users can set various features in the car by simply saying 'Halo Wuling' and followed by the command they want to do. Therefore, users can maintain focus while driving.
Then, another innovation is the Wuling Remote Control App.This feature enables users to connect with the vehicle and control various vehicle features through the touch of a finger on a smartphone or headunit.By using MyWuling+, users can operate several features such as turning on and off the vehicle, opening and closing windows, and locking and unlocking car doors remotely.This innovation makes it easier for users both during travel preparation and during driving. In addition, users can access navigation, music, and send and receive messages online on the internet-connected head unit.
