Wuling Shows Two Special Display Units for its Electric Vehicle, Air ev, at IIMS 2023
Visitors also had the opportunity to personalize Air ev virtually using VR at the booth
Jakarta, 21 February 2023 – During the 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) annual automotive exhibition, Wuling Motors (Wuling) displayed two special displays for its first electric vehicle unit in Indonesia, the Air ev with personalized creations, and its complete products. The two units are displayed in the 'Air ev customs' area which is on the right side of the booth located in Hall D, JIExpo Kemayoran. One of these special units is the result of Wuling's collaboration with the National Modificator & Aftermarket Association (NMAA).
"Apart from bringing a complete product line at the IIMS 2023 event, we also showcased something special at the Wuling booth, namely Air ev with creations themed 'Futuristic Adventure' and 'Daily Sporty Concept'. Through the special creations, we want to show that this electric vehicle is very easy to personalize according to the character and wishes of its users. We hope that these two special units can inspire Air ev consumers to express themselves with this environmentally friendly car," said Dian Asmahani as Brand & Marketing Director of Wuling Motors.

Wuling chose the concept of 'Futuristic Adventure' for a special unit with a futuristic appearance but full of adventure elements. Futuristic visuals are supported thanks to front bumper lips, side & rear skirts, rear wing spoiler, side door molding, natural wide body, custom inner headlamp, and front grill panel. In addition, the Air ev is wrapped in a matte metal silver & piano black max decal and an exterior mounted side storage box with a solid steel bracket hooked up design to strengthen the adventurous impression. For all visual parts used, a woven roving WR200 fiberglass mat with spies hecker matte finished coating is used. Moreover, the wheels also look different with the use of Achilles ATR K 165/50/15 tires combined with Sparco Asseto Gara H 4x100 15x6.5” et 38 custom color wheels.
Tones of black and orange are shown in the modern Air ev cabin accented by synthetic white carbon embossing. Then, on the dashboard on the passenger side, it is decorated with black microfiber leather. There are also orange LEDs as ambient light under the dashboard and in the door compartment. Then, Wuling also added silver and orange airbrush accents to the interior.
Next up is Wuling Air ev with the joint creation of NMAA with the theme 'Daily Sporty Concept'. Overall, this unit has a sporty design but is still comfortable for everyday use. This compact body electric vehicle uses a special body kit from NMAA, the addition of body stripping stickers, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

"We chose the theme 'Daily Sporty Concept' to modify the Air ev that looks sporty but still prioritizes the comfort aspect for daily mobility. This modification is suitable for Air ev customers who want their vehicles to look different on the exterior without sacrificing the comfort offered in the cabin of this electric vehicle," said Andre Mulyadi, Founder of NMAA.

Apart from these two special display units, during IIMS 2023, Wuling also provided an opportunity for visitors to modify Air ev directly through Virtual Reality (VR) at the Wuling booth. Here, visitors can make changes according to preferences to get the desired Air ev appearance virtually, and then save it via Whatsapp or email.
